Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 18, 2026

Wanderia is a group trip planner. This policy explains, in plain language, what information we use and why — starting with the two things people ask about most: your email address and your phone number.

Your email address and phone number

Wanderia does not collect personal data about you. Your email address or phone number is simply your sign-up and sign-in method: we send you a one-time code to verify it's you (the email also includes a sign-in link), and that is all they are used for.

We do not retrieve any personal data from your email account or your phone number. We never read your inbox, access your contacts, or gather information about you from your email provider or phone carrier.

We may also use your email address to reply to support requests you send us. We do not send marketing email, and we never sell your email address or phone number.

Text messages (SMS)

If you sign in with your phone number, we send a one-time sign-in code by text message through our messaging provider, Twilio. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of text messages and HELP for help.

Your mobile information and text-message opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Information you create in Wanderia

When you use Wanderia, we store the trips you create or join — destinations, dates, itineraries, expenses, votes, and the display name on your account — so your crew can plan together. Members of a trip can see the trip's plans and the other members of that trip.

If you turn on location sharing for a trip, your location is shared with that trip's members on the crew map while the trip is active. You can stop sharing at any time by turning location off.

If you publish a trip, the itinerary you publish becomes visible to other travelers on Discover.

If you forward a booking confirmation email to your personal Wanderia import address, we extract only the booking details from that message — flights, hotels, dates — and add them to your trip.

Payments

Paid plans are processed by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe — Wanderia never receives or stores your full card number.

Service providers

We use a small set of providers to run Wanderia: Supabase (accounts and data storage), Twilio (sign-in text messages), Resend (sign-in and support email), Stripe (payments), Vercel (website hosting), and OpenAI (building AI itinerary suggestions from the destinations and preferences you enter). Each provider receives only the data needed to do its job.

Cookies

Wanderia uses only the cookies needed to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Your choices

You can update your account details from your account page. To delete your account and its data, contact us at support@wanderia.net and we will remove it.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will post the updated version on this page and update the date below.
